How The Finals Season 12 Meta Score is calculated

Every weapon, gadget and specialization on this page is scored from real tracked matches, not opinion. Four measurements feed the Meta Score: the normalised match placement (a win in a four-team Ranked lobby and a win in a two-team Power Shift lobby are weighted correctly), the pick rate inside the same class and slot, the kill/death ratio, and the combined combat, support and objective score the item produces per round.

Why pick rate alone is not the meta

A weapon can be the most used in the game and still be average: the AKM, for instance, regularly leads pick rate while sitting mid-table on placement and KD. Separating the Meta Score block from the Popularity block makes that visible - one answers "what wins", the other answers "what people choose".

Ranked versus Casual

Ranked and casual playlists reward different things, so the weekly change in pick rate is also split by mode. An item that grows only in Ranked is usually strong in coordinated play, while growth limited to Casual tends to follow a patch or a trend rather than results.
